Our mission is to foster the upcoming generation of theater makers and theatergoers by prioritizing innovation and humanity in our process.
Do Process's structure is inspired by television seasons. Rather than follow the traditional regional theatre models, we're exploring and building our own! Each project released is documented on our website as an 'episode.' Some episodes are tied together while others are stand-alone projects! Instead of doing a theatre season that we announce, Do Process's seasons unveil themselves over time. Do Process gives space to the ensemble and artistic collaborators so they may uphold the mission of a human-centric theatre practice and their processes first! Audiences are part of the process and we look forward to seeing you at our shows, could be tomorrow, next week, or next year. Follow our socials for more on upcoming shows!
Do Process exists to serve the need for younger generations to engage in live performance in a way that meets their evolving relationship to storytelling. Do Process uses multimedia theatre that demands live engagement and offers a third space for community building. Art is part of the human experience and needs to be understood in the context of the larger world we exist in on a daily basis.
Do Process exists for the additional purpose of providing growth opportunities for early career theatre artists. They will be the ones to engage the next generations of audience members, so they need space to experiment ways to make that possible. Opportunities to explore new forms of theater for untraditional audiences outside of educational institutions are few and far between. We offer a space for experimentation that can save the future of theater while prioritizing the preservation of the artist. Do Process will bring in the next generation of theater lovers while helping to jumpstart the careers of the theater makers who will revolutionize the craft for all.
But what does that mean?
We are always in the process of learning. Please contact us to talk more about what Do Process means for the future of theater!
